Most Awkward Moment in the M
In the past year, since I got my 11' e92 M3 I have never got a complaint or hater especially in regards to any of my mods. Well tonight on the drive home I had a 50 yr old man shake his head at me and tell me that I ruined daddys car with my exhaust. Didn't know what to be mad at first that my full meisterschaft exhaust was mocked or that I paid 77k for my car.....then I realized my exhaust was probably worth more than his shitty chevy truck from the year cars first came out. What you think could exhausts ruin cars? First time I ever had a complaint even my neighbors love it ha

Maybe he is a minimalist. Likes things basic or in their pure form. He may have a garage with four classic Ferrari in it. What makes it a shit statement is that he was insulting by making the "daddy" comment. So he is a ka-douche!

A contrary opinion...one of my neighbours is a biker and often his friends come up to hang out, problems is they can't just drive up and park, there has to be lots of reving and general racket to demonstrate how great their rides are...which gets right on your tits when you are trying a have a quiet summers evening with the windows open.
The problem is with funky exhausts is that the noise made impresses only a few people, while the vast majority think your are a DB. Just saying..not trying to have a dig at you. |

"Ruined Daddy's car?" What a condescending comment! Here's what to do...
Get him back in the car, launch control him from 0-60, slam on the brakes and scramble that a-hole's brain until he's as docile as golden retriever. Then you ask him "Who's your Daddy?" and watch him cry.

lol, he was probably right.
Saw an M5 with an aftermarket exhaust. I was fully expecting to see some honda civic with a fart can come around the corner then saw the m5. I had the same reaction. What a waste of a car. |

The guy was a DB for even approaching you about the matter.
I can't believe it would bother anybody that much to hear an aggressive exhaust note for what, a split second. I would have given him the "thumbs up", smiled and revved it harder...
