Just saw a new M3
I just got back from my dealership and saw a new white M3 coupe. The car was stunning, but the sticker was $70,000+. Am i the only one who thinks paying 70,000+ for a M3 COUPE not vert is kinda insane?

70K isnt too bad, my car came to 70K OTD with tax and everything included.
Theres some going for 95-100K with markups As for GTR, dont expect to get one for another two years or so, unless you want to pay a high premium.

Stopped by Autobahn BMW in Fort Worth today. They had a Melbourne Red coupe in the showroom. Very nice. Had Beige Novillo Extended Leather and Carbon Leather interior trim. The Carbon Leather trim was very, very nice!!!
MSRP of $69,750, including $1,300 Gas Guzzler Tax. Wow!! It's rated at 13 or 14 City and 20 Highway. It was gorgeous and very impressive and all that, but I'm just too cheap to ever pay that kind of money for a car. Especially when I think about the fact that all it takes is some idiot (without insurance, of course ) in a '94 Accord to really screw it up. There are just too many idiots out there!! I was surprised it didn't have a carbon fiber roof panel. I was thinking that was going to be a standard feature on the coupes. Fort Worth car show is this week and one of the CA's told me they will have an AW one there. They have three coupes in stock, but no sedans yet. |

I think the markups on the M3's will die pretty soon. There are too many other great cars at its price to justify the mark up. Its not really better than any of its competition.

$70k is gross, the markup is pretty high. All of the Ms at my dealership are overpriced, the M5 based at $84k, sells for a $98k sticker. The M3 just isn't worth $70k (or more from what I've read). Especially for a 1st production year vehicle.

I checked out the one in my dealership yesterday and it was stunning. Interlegos blue with the Silver interior. No sunroof so it had the carbon fiber roof. It looked great. 2 things I noticed though, the center console didn't have the trim that regular 3 series get, it was just black leather (or whatever it was), and the second thing was that the bottom of the seat was exactly the same as my sport seats. Ryan told me that they used that seat bottom because the one they use in Europe isn't big enough for big American butts. This one was 68K and seemed about right.
