I've been looking at new and pre-owned M3's for several months. I'm not sure where ChrisFast is getting his numbers, but I am about to purchase an M3 that is almost identical to yours except it is a 2010 and has only 770 miles on it for 62,155 + tax & license fees.
These cars are simply not holding value like they used to. 2009's with similar mileage to yours are selling in the $53-$54500 range private party, and 2008's are now sub-$50k. Yours looks clean and has the DCT & low miles, so I'd price it at $50k and hope for a sale within about 30 days. It could be worse...My 2008 M5 had an MSRP of 100k, but after only 2 years and 30k miles it was worth just about half of that. M5's can be had for a steal these days. Basically you can get an M5 for M3 prices. I was looking at a loaded 2009 with 17k miles for $65k. If it wasn't for that sweet, buttery DCT I'd be all over it. Good luck with the sale. Check Edmunds and eBay completed auctions to see what cars are actually selling for. Another technique I have used is to simply email sellers and ask them what they got. KBB is nearly useless. |

I'm not interested in buying but;
I'd pay 60K since it's low mileage. My '08 has 18,300miles on it. Did you do 3500 miles a year or something?
