Would be nice to add mechanical features with coding!! I would add a supercharger or two

Oh well.. back to reality..

Haven't had a chance to try it yet. I will work on it this weekend. I have to remember not to fill my tank all the way!

Yes, if there are a number of people interested in your area, I can send out a laptop and perform the coding remotely.

Couple new updates: Working on BMWOnline - almost got it working on my M3.

Not sure exactly what it does but will find out.

Also, conquered the fuel warning coming on too early. I can change the low fuel warning to come on at later intervals so it doesn't start bugging you near 1/4 tank. Can also turn it off all together.

Edit: Looking for a car with Start/Stop feature. If your car has it, and you are local - please let me know. I am working on retrofitting that feature to cars not equipped, and activating memory so it remembers the last setting used.

Hey Mike,

I'd be careful with this; I believe the 2011.5 M3s have a different (larger) starter and alternator for the increased duty cycle that auto start/stop entails. You might end up with some unhappy customers if you enable that feature and their cars die early in a way that isn't covered by BMW....

Interesting - didn't know that. Still worth finding out how the coding works to give cars equipped with it the option to remember. In most countries out side of the US, the start stop function is automatically enabled when you start the car. Most of those people want it disabled

I have one scheduled about three weeks out, but would certainly like to have one sooner. I have time toward the end of the week usually. Let me know if you have some time.

Thanks,
Mike

genetalia: it comes on when the 335's comes on, a little bit lower now. I forget which setting I used but it was the same as my friends 335.

Thread on DVD in motion for 09-11.5 Models.

Many customers have let me know that other coders are having difficulty removing the corner LED on 2011.5 cars. I'm pleased to say that I can take care of that as well!

Newbie here, but I had a question for Mike@Powerchips. SInce no codes will work on my 07 328i's i-drive for DVD playback, could you help with a recommendation? I've seen/read about a few PNP Mods for video playback on the CCC i-Drive (before '09). Is there on you recommend/have seen that you prefer? I'm out in Kansas City, so I'd have to order one & have it installed or do it myself. Any input would be great.....

Satisfied customer...

I have recently had the pleasure of having Mike Benvo code my car, and it was well worth it. I facilitated a group buy in Florida in the regional section because I wanted some custom options on my 2010 M3 that I thought would be unique and useful. It took a month to gather enough people together and worked out exactly as promised. I can honestly recommend Mike for any BMW coding needs, he is a true professional and a very talented person. Thanks again Mike...

Another satisfied customer

Thanks to Mike Benvo for coding my car remotely. Everything works like a charm. Also, thanks to STORM3 for organizing the group buy and driving over to Boca from Naples.

I can't recommend Mike's coding more strongly - quality service from a quality guy.

Completely agree. Mike did a great job w/ my car and his experience with coding made me feel very comfortable with everything he did and he tried very hard for me to get everything working just right. Great guy to talk w/ too.

Thanks J. I'll hit you up next time I'm over that way, we'll have to get a Primanti's sandwich and a beer. Glad everything worked out, your car is super nice. Let me know if you have any questions about future mods, maybe I can help.

Hi Mike,

I have just read through this post, very interesting stuff.

I was wondering what coding options are available for the stereo system. I would like to change the head unit output from speaker level to line level. Also, would be great to have line level out for the front channel, and speaker level out for the rear. And also to see what other settings can be changed.

This is in relation to an 08 135i but I assume its all pretty similar.

How many people would you need for a group buy to fly to Australia LOL?

I dont understand why it cant be done remotely, i'd be willing to pay you to do it over a remote connection.

Try to code it to hifi, that variant uses an external wired amp.

You can't do that.

If you want better sound than the basic stereo system, I'd recommend the Alpine hifi retrofit kit from BMW. It takes about a day fitting it since you need to pull a wiring harness from the HU to the car boot, an that requires removing a lot of interior trim parts, including seats and doorboards. But the result is absolutely worth it.
