Meisterchaft GT2 Or Gintani Full catless system..
Having some serious thoughts about picking up a local M3 and getting right into the tuning stages from day 1!
Now.. ive been looking at some video clips of the different exhausts around for the M3 and ive fallen in love with the Gintani and Meisterchaft GT2, ive read that the Gintani has sufficient power gains but i couldnt find much on the Meisterchaft.. does anyone know the gains between the two? Also, ive noticed from the videos they both sound pretty identical except the Gintani has a more lower tone rather than the GT2's higher pitched tone.. Anyone have either? i would love to hear some opinions! |

I'm very glad you asked.
I have Gintani's full catless exhuast. Check out my new thread, just in case you missed it: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=331138 IMO, Gintani's full set-up will definitely gain you the most power. I've already proved my BEFORE/AFTER #'s on the dyno. Here's the link to that thread too: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=322545 Good luck with your final decision! |

Yeah, i was looking at your setup and really loved the sound from that combination.. how is the drone situation though?
I would pretty much get equal gains from the Gintani xpipe with the GT2 muffler as a would with the full Gintani setup right? Quote:

i mean after i got it installed and drove home, i was like holy shit im gettin pulled over for sure and then i went for a drive on the freeway floored it under a tunnel but after awhile i got use to it...i did get really bad headaches the first few days tho hahah Quote:
theres no drone, i have a video in-car and a few people have told me that it doesnt drone well gains wise i have no idea because i still have yet to dyno, but id say the gintani is more free flowing? but the GT2 design is basically the same as the agency exhaust and that has shown gains |

It's still so painful to listen to when you're constantly stuck at cruising anywhere under 3500 rpm's. +1 for the Dinan, especially if you're really concerned about the drone level. |
