► Question On Sirius Radio Option ►
on the m3 byo there is an option in entertainment for 1 year sirius subscription for $350.
if you do not include this option, does the car still get sirius radio for 1 year? i am being told if you don't get this option, sirius radio is not built into the car... any truth to this?

That's my understanding. You have to order the car with Sirius to have it built in.

$350 is not for the Sirius subscription, It's to have the radio built in. You will get your first year subscription for free through Sirius. You just call and activate.

Either on my 335 or m3 there was a sirius box in the trunk that I removed and sold and got 1 year free. I guess things have changed.

If you have CIC navigation, I know the sirius sat radio will always be built into the headunit after 2010. Even if you don't get the sirius sat radio option now, you can get a FSC code to activate it later down the road. Usually activation comes with a free 1 yr subscription.
I am not sure if this is the case without the CIC unit. I have no experience with the non-navi models.
