Mercedes-Benz has reportedly revealed its new C63 AMG Black Series Coupe in France, at a test event at Circuit Paul Ricard. Details are few, but some on hand say the new model is lighter (by 44 lbs) but less hardcore than the CLK Black Series it replaces, and even includes seating for four.

These first photos and little bits of information come from our sources, who were on hand for the reveal.

Here's what they had to say:

What i know right now from my colleague who was there is that its the 6.2 liters NA V8, with 517 ps [510 hp], around 640 NM of torque [472 lb-ft] (it's nearly the same configuration as in the previous CLS63). Its 20kg [44lbs} lighter than the standard AMG coupe, LSD is standard, it has the MCT gearbox, 4 seats (first time on a Black), a bigger rear spoiler is optional as will be some more 'track focused' features (no details yet). On sale mid November in Germany for less than 100K euros, beginning of 2012 for the rest of the world. Don't know for the importation on your side of the Atlantic.

I think the guy(grey C63 - plated eurocharged) @ the July3rd event already put his deposit down for 1 of the 10 2013 allocation. This car looks really good! I think they mention you can delete A/C, Nav, Rear seats, but of course at an additional charges

One of the local car guys around here has his deposit down for one, and says that the Canadian allocation is already sold out!

What is the ETA on one of these for Canada? Anyone know?

I got the word this aft that I can get one for one of my good clients.He is going to let me know in the AM if he wants it or not.I might take it anyways as I am pretty sure it will not be a problem if get stuck with it

They are expected here early in the new year.

She does like her 335is because it does not sound like a V8 musclecar like she has had before

She likes the new SLK that is coming so maybe the new AMG one is in the cards.She has had 6 SLK's since they came out in 97 including a SLK32 AMG.

You would have more information then I, but I would have thought it to be close to $150,000 Canadian given the limited quantities. Maybe I will be surprised

List price for the last AMG CLK Black series in the US was about $140,000. This will likley be more I would think.

This car is not as unique as the CLK63 BS and I was told a price much lower than that to be confirmed today.
