How to remove the chrome lip from BBS CHR

Hello,

I just purchased a set of BBS CHR in matte black and to be honest I can't withstand the chrome protective lip. Any input on how to remove it is much appreciated.
thank you!

I believe adhesive remover will do the job as I believe they are only held on with double-sided tape.

It is so solid making you think it is welded!!! I will try an adhesive removal and may be a heat gun.

The rim protector on my sister's CH-Rs seem easy to move. A heat gun will also help, maybe also threading some fishing line through a portion of the adhesive and then working around the perimeter. In any event do keep us posted.

They are just held on by double sided tape.. if you remove them you can't reapply them, the will bend.. i'd leave them on. (I ordered a set of 4 rings and it ran me around 200!!)
