Cool Cadillac ATS sedan shows more skin. GM testing at Nurburgring

Gotta say this thing has some potential in the looks department. Can't believe there standard version gets brakes that large.

The ATS-V version should prove potent if the CTS-V is any indication.

The CTS-V is 2 years old and still a better performer than the new M5. So seeing an "ATS-V" outperforming it's class competitors is not too far out of the realm of reality.

They're doing a great job at Cadillac these days. The CTS is 190-inches long but I've heard the ATS is smaller. If it's around 180" that'll put it alongside the 3-series and the MB C-series. All of which are too short to be true luxury cars, IMO, but it does seem to be the optimal range for the now-dominant luxury-performance compromise. The idea of chopping ten inches off a CTS-V is probably making 5-series designers extremely nervous.

(I'd also love to see GM try a serious, non-roadster, performance-oriented 170" platform, like the 1-series.)

It's okay, I find the vast majority of fan boys and brand fanatics have never even driven, or can't even afford, the cars they're bashing in the first place.

That looks really good. I thought it might just look like a scaled down CTS but actually it looks quite nice. Look forward to seeing it unveiled.
