Doubtful. 18" vs. 20", if the 18" are light and 20" are particularly heavy, will be measurable and probably fairly consistent. I doubt that tire width will be above the noise of the measurement for acceleration. Furthermore, the weight of wider rears will be offset by a bit more traction, given an identical compound and all else "apples to apples".

Give me a few days you will get your wish I have 305's
I got 360 forged split 7 wheels with 305/25ZR20 tires in the rear. I just picked up my M3 today from the port and I have to pick up my tags for the car then drive it back home from Georgia to Texas to put my wheels on so hang in there a min. I will provide picks

So 305s will fit without fender mods? Even with a slight drop?

305's will fit in the rear with a drop and no fender roll at all. Nate@IND had that tire size on his 1st set up with the 360 forged wheels. Now he has a different set up with 285's in the rear with the HRE wheels, but he did have 305's in the rear on dubs!!!

So one could do a 275 up front with a 305 in the rear? That is a ridiculous amount of rubber!
