Surprisingly i found my options in the marketplace to be quite limited......my only 'must have's' were: a BMW with a high revving V8, quad exhausts an M button and a maximum of 16 mpg........................only car i could find was this one

It wasn't a mistake, it was a joke about the other thread,
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=413432 about the guy turning off DCT and abusing the car,

Engine, handling, styling, options, etc. Simple answer... it is the best all-around TRUE four-seater convertible on the market.

It's a pleasure to drive, slow or fast; you should add that to your list . It's a feeling you can't quite describe as it involves a myriad of reasons. Not perfect by any means, but close. And better than most cars costing a ton more. Only get a similar feeling with the Cayman S, but it's much less practical. Unfortunately, it's too damn complex to keep it beyond warranty without fear of spendiing your retirement money on repairs. Might get a Vette next due to that reason. Tired of losing my a$$ in depreciation every few years.

Way to revive this thread guys!
This was done tongue-in-cheek. At the time there were forum threads about the M3 being a "chick magnet", being high class and 0-60 time. So ... To be real -- and I think most will agree with this -- the M3 is most fun to drive car that is properly practical and luxurious. What more can you say? Isn't that why we bought (or desire) the M3? Cheers.

Bought mine on impulse and I never had a brand new car before. On a flip side, if my e46 was a coupe and not vert I would of super charged it this spring.
