Guys, don't cancel cars currently on order, you have to remember there will only be 25 per year for the entire world. If demand is high it may force BMW to reconsider their numbers but it will definitely push the sticker price sky high.

they will absolutely make more than 25 per year. 25 is just plain stupid.

looks and seems more hard core than a regular M3 and even the CSL. BMW tricked us, no CSL, but we have some the GTS int he work, hehehehe
anyways, it's way too expensive, but I'm glad that BMW came up with something to compete with the Porsche GT3(or even the GT3 RS version) i'd like see the car in a different color, but i'm sure orange would be the signature color. EDIT: hopefully Top Gear reviews this one as opposed to the E46 M3 GTR, which had a V8 engine and was sold for almost $300,000. |

Now that I know they have put all the R&D into the 4.4 engine, I am just going to wait until they include it in the US model. It doesn't make sense for them to have spent all the time and effort on a road going engine for such low production volume, when it is obvious they would generate thousands of additional M3 sales if it were included as opposed to sticking with the 4.0 until the end of the generation. This is sad news for the 4.0 owners if and when it happens, but makes complete sense BMW would offer the 4.4 to those who would be enticed by a final finale of the naturally aspirated M experience as opposed to a newer/more powerful model such as the RS5 that many such as myself are eagerly awaiting.

I think you will find that very few importers will actually be offering this in your country. My take on this is that it's a direct purchase from BMW Motorsport which usually means for competition, be that club racing or semi-pro. |

After all Mercedes has upped it's performance package on the C63 in readiness for the RS5, I think it's perfectly logical that BMW considered something similar and this engine isn't exactly stressed for daily driving. |

Honestly, i think we will see the 4.4 sooner rather than later if BMW knows what is good for them. Sure they could bump the 4.0 a few hp, but it would still leave the M3 trailing the RS5 and C63 not only in horsepower but maybe more importantly the serious torque increase the 4.4 offers. The longer they wait, the more sales they potentially lose to Audi and Mercedes.
