ESS VT1-535 Dyno Results: 520whp, 341wtq SAE, 5.0 PSI Boost
Late last year I changed my x-pipe and went to an EAS dyno day being held with my friends from MFEST. I always wanted to get back to the same dyno as my initial runs to see the bump in power, but instead I decided to see how'd i'd do at the EAS dyno day. Anyways... this past weekend I got the chance to get back to the original dyno facility to see the difference from my baseline and also to see the difference between the two dynos.
My car is a 2008 BMW M3, 6MT with an ESS VT1-535 on it. I bought the kit with a 0.5 PSI upgraded pulley. But other than that, the kit is an off the shelf ESS VT1 kit. PG came along to help with the dynos, do his usual data logging thing, and he measured my supercharger pulley so people to know definitively without a doubt what I'm running (since i've been accused of hiding facts ) My baseline was 482whp and 320wtq SAE (490whp and 326wtq STD). The only thing that changed on the car prior to going to the EAS dyno day was that I swapped to an Arqray Muffler and had a custom x-pipe with both CAT deletes. At the EAS dyno day, the car put out 526whp and 342wtq SAE (540whp and 350wtq STD). Most people thought these numbers were way too high for an ESS VT1 kit. So it's yet another reason to go back to the same dyno as before and let PG do all of his data logging thing. Even at this dyno, the car put out some pretty big numbers. The results are a little bit lower than the EAS dyno, but not by a whole lot. Run-3 produced the same results as Run-4, but the boost looked really different. We asked the dyno operator why this happens, and he didn't really know. You're welcome to download the files through the dyno database and take a look for yourself. Car and Modifications:

Individual Dyno Results: Individual dyno results are shown below. SAE corrected results are shown twice, using two different sources. The first source (SAEd) are the SAE corrected results straight from the Dynojet. The second source (SAEk) of SAE corrected results are obtained by using the Kestral 4500 weather station data for each individual dyno run and running it through an independent SAE correction formula. This ensures that the dyno results are accurate and can be independently audited and verified for authenticity and accuracy. The legend below has the following meaning:

Awesome power! This goes to show how much bang for your buck you get with the VT1-535 then adding a nice XPipe.
I am curious, did PG log IAT's by any chance? I would be very interested in seeing the IATs between the VT1 and VT2 kits to see the effects of the intercooler and performance benefits.
