Let's hope it gives you MUCH better mph, and most likely less mpg.

Understandable that you'd make that mistake, mpg and M3 are usually not included in the same sentence!!!

JMD0977,

Wow, sounds like your cars gonna be a beast! I can't wait to see it in person and meet you when I finally completely move out to FL! I would love to do this to my E90 M3, but it's the family car for me & my E46 M3 is the toy.

Well, hopefully, but it will produce more power than the stock M5 engine so I would not be at all surprised if it is less fuel efficient. No, best way to keep high MPG is to simply not step on it. That is always an option.

These readings were the average from 200-1200 miles(break in) of the Rs46:
My engine (Rs46 with stock headers and exhaust) was doing 12-14mpg city and 15-17mpg highway (90% throttle/6K RPM max,all the time) and that was with the 3.62 also(instead of the 3.15 dct). But if pushed to 8400rpm/100% throttle, you might see 10-11mpg, even 9.x Mpg. Just like driving around 3.5Krpms will give you about 16-18mpg. Bottom line is that the Rs46 engine was giving more MPG that stock. Sounds crazy but Im serious. Stock I used to get 10-11 city and 12-14 highway and 8mpg when pushed hard.

So other than mpg, what can you tell us? Performance? How does it feel? Probably still braking it in though.

Even though it still had the stock headers, and exhaust...I could tell a big difference in the TQ feel of the car as well as acceleration and had a deeper feel/sound of the engine, if that makes. I really dont have the exact details as far as numbers cuz I dont have the Dyno results yet(engine only).
After the 1200 mile oil change, I did beat a 1965 silver Shelby Cobra replica 427 (425HP estimate, I dont know for sure what this one had but most have the 427's which have 425HP stock), he was an older guy around 50 but wanted to play. From a stoplight side by side. Those Shelbys weight about 2500 lbs.We were on Beach Blv.(Huntington Beach) I got him by about 2-2.5 car lenghts by the time when were doing 100+mph, we we got to 120+mph, I wasnt looking at him, I was checking for cops, and let off the gas. He never caught up or passed me. My girl was in the car and he was solo.

And yes, the top was down

He was cool, when he caught up at the next red light, he tipped his hat off to the Rs46 M with a grin on his face.

Just curious, is anyone that got their cars build from RDsport going to post new threads of their cars and/or numbers? That would be great! =)
