I've never heard of anyone actually being arrested for underage drinking unless they were also doing something else - like fighting, vandalism, drunk driving, etc... but just for underage drinking? The cops are certainly in the right for arresting you, but it seems kind of odd if that's all you really were doing. That's a lot of paperwork for them to do for a chickenshit charge.

Even though I'm not 21 for a few months, I wholeheartedly agree. I just thought people would have more common sense than to post shit like this thread....what a blatant misconception.

And you said you're not mad at the cops...You're an idiot.

P.S. This whole experience probably did absolutely nothing for you. You're going to continue breaking the law and blaming the police every time you get caught.

Hey man, I totally understand you being mad. That is actually really weak of the cops to arrest u for underage drinking. I am assuming you are in college or something and EVERYONE does underage drinking. And to all the "upstanding" citizens of society berating this guy for sharing a story - u guys are fucking lame. Give him a break!

I'm saying "fuck the philly po" with hate not anger...two different situations. Just because I said I was mad at them for hitting the house I was at doesn't mean that I am blaming them or not accepting my consequences. I know I can't drink legally but I choose to any way and have accepted the consequences that have resulted from my actions. I'm sorry if all you now legal people look down on it. I'm sure you never drank illegally. Ohh heaven forbid.

+1

You guys act like you never break the law. There's at least one thread a week from a "grown up" bitching about a no license plate ticket. It's pretty fucked up of cops to go around arresting 50 under age kids for drinking. Especially in philly where there's soo much worse shit happening.

What happens if you get arrested for under age drinking any ways? Is it like a DUI charge with community service n shit?

Nope just a citation for underage drinking and with some preventative drinking courses (Go ahead fellas, flame on) it's reduced to a disorderly conduct citation that disappears after a few years. Oh and a $50 fine.

Ohh ok it's not that bad.

My friends and I got a ticket once for drinking at the beach. The cops could have been dicks and arrested us too but they just gave a possession of alcohol ticket. It was like 150 bucks with nothing on your record.

Did we learn our lesson without stupid consequences? Yup!

I got an "infraction" one time too for simply carrying a 30 pack to my place. They gave me a minor in possession (mip). They could have been dicks and given me a MIP misdemeanor which stays on your record for a couple of years but they gave me an infraction instead (just pay it and be done, no record involved). So i was supposed to pay $500 and be done with it but when I went to court for it, the judge let me go!! It was a great feeling to be let off the hook and I learned something about not doing stupid shit as well

Grow up douchebag.
