I am going to drive it stock for awhile, then will either get coilovers or dinan stage 3 suspension. I'll prolly get kw v3 or bilstein pss ... Will research and think about it.

I'm going to keep the car, I use it as my daily driver, I don't plan on tracking it much, and it's a great car. Thanks for the reassurance!!!

Can you use bilstein adjustable coils with dinan suspension?

This guy did a ZCP conversion on his car. Got the OEM springs and shocks from the ZCP, and got the OEM competition wheels to top it off. He's currently parting his car out, so if you're in Cali it could be an option.

BMW has non-EDC ZCP springs and struts that you can retrofit onto your car. I highly doubt a dealer will do this for you, but if you order the parts yourselves, any aftermarket shop can perform the installation.

O hi. That's me.

The suspension that's up for sale is my original non-ZCP EDC setup -- the ZCP retrofit suspension is very much still on my car.

Lightbulb

I found this thread very helpful, just purchased a 2012 M3 non zcp and plan to do some mods, including Dinan stage 3.

This is a really silly thread. The wheels is the only difference visually anyway. The drop is hardly noticable.

There is no way you are pushing the car enough to need any stiffer of a suspension than the non-zcp, non-edc suspension. I have it and it is both comfortable and capable for even a race driver to push around the track.

Personally I did not want electronics hooked to my suspension as I am keeping my car but really what do you not like about your suspension? I do not get this-you list nothing objective about what is it you dont like??

If you have the money to trade in a brand new m3 and take that kind of loss than you should probably buy a better car than the m3 instead of throwing away money

I think the drop is noticeable. Had I ordered a new car, I would have bought zcp for the drop and wheels.

I have eibachs and morr's now, and love the result.
