DCT for 335i
I just noticed that in the latest brochure (of BMW Switzerland) the offer the 335i with DCT. Although they say its different from M-DCT, it's probably pretty much the same. So there's one reason less for buying an M...

We'll see how watered down the 335i's DCT is. I've never liked the buttons/pedals on the 335i's steering wheel.

Since when was the DCT a reason for the //M? I thought people choosed the M3 1st... then decide between MDCT or 6MT.

Lol that's what I was thinking. Yeah buy a 335i. Less m's on the road for us If dct is one of the reasons you are buying an m3, then I strongly suggest you don't buy an m. 335 is you friend.

The DCT variant of the 335 is coming to our shores in about 2 weeks time. Don't really know what's the difference though with the M-DCT.
+1 Yeah M before options is the way to go. |

Thanks for your advice, I already got my M3.
What I was trying to point out was that making DCT available for the regular 3 series makes the M3 less exclusive. And yes, after power, handling and looks, DCT was one of the reasons for me to get the M. |
