Oh, probably some dumb highway engineer that spent four years in college earning a BS in Physics, two post-graduate years earning a MS in Engineering, and three or more years getting a PhD, i.e., someone smarter than you, said so.

I dont think it's an engineer or someone with a BS in physics that took the decision of what should be the speed limit on the road... That being said the law of physics would agree with me saying a brand new straight 4 lanes wide not inclined, is much safer then a road going up north wich is only one lane wide, with hills going up and down and curving left and right, with very bad asphalt, dirth on the road, and maybe deers that will cross...

I also think that my BMW with sport suspension and 18' is much more safer at 160 km/h then some old chevrolet cavalier going 100km/h, or other car that shouldn,t be on the road.

The road I got the ticket is the 720, going downtown. Cop was hiding after exit Atwater.

a. eur. 750 fine.
b. car impounded (when you are halted by an police officer, bad luck. You will get it back if first timer, next time bye bye to your car)
c. suspended licence for 6 months. (by judge)
d. a criminal record. (for 10 years)

ahahahahahaha i read the OP and i had a feeling he was from Montreal.... i've gotten a 9-pointer once too.... 160 in a 70 zone(decarie)....

where'd you get your ticket??? get yourself a "good" lawyer and you wont lose a point... nuf said.
