The Z4 was designed by two Women.....

Just because it was designed by women doesn't necessarily make it a girly car, but hey, it's all subjective!

Don't get me wrong, I've always liked the Mini Cooper, almost bought one actually.
Interesting, I hardly ever see women driving MINI's, my wife doesn't like it, yet I've only ever seen women driving California's.

That is indeed interesting, here in Vancouver, I'd say 8/10 mini I see are female driven.

No, it's just that Euros all think they're the next Michael Schumacher and they need flappy paddles.

that makes no sense at all considering most cars in the US are auto and they sell less autos in Europe than they do in the US.

Yet many more American cars (many of which you really wouldn't want to drive regardless of transmission) are offered with manuals than Euro cars.

But I was mostly referring to sports cars, with Ferrari and others going to only dual clutch gearboxes and many others removing manual options from their performance cars, manuals are quickly becoming an afterthought fro many manufacturers. It certainly doesn't help that automated transmissions are getting to be clearly more efficient than manuals with the current fleet efficiency average requirements. Dual clutch setups also offer faster, more repeatable magazine numbers and allow buyers to know they're just as fast as the next guy, no matter how inept they may really be.
