OEM Exhaust Modification - Video and Review =]

I had my exhaust modified today at Guaranteed Muffler in Fremont. Thanks to Alan for the great work! Thanks to Periokid and GewoW for the inspiration! The exhaust turned out better than I expected! I watched video after video of this modification done and the videos just do not do justice for sure! I had both the small AND the large perforated pipes replaced by a straight pipe, not just the long ones. It is LOUD! but not too loud where it's annoying! quiet on idle but in 1st and 2nd gear it roars! driving on the street or freeway on 4th or 5th gear it quiets down so it isn't annoying to me or anyone around me while cruising! Love the sound, and worth the few hundred bucks for now before spending the big money on a full exhaust system! Here is a video! enjoy!

Its funny how video just does not portray exhausts very well. On many clips the OEM actually sounds better and as loud but obviously in person that is not true.

I am thinking about this mod seriously and problem is finding a muffler shop to do this in the Phoenix area.

How long did it take them?
yeah I know what you mean about the video clips, but the sound in person is pretty deep and growls! I dropped the car off at 9am and picked it up around 3:30, although idk if they started working on it right away? I would say at least 3-4 hours though?

do it bro it is the best thing to do if you want a louder than oem exhaust without having to spend thousands of dollars.. it is a good alternative until a future investment into a full exhaust system!

Check on GewoW's thread below. It has pics of the modification process. All I did was go into a local exhaust / muffler shop and show them the pics! Should cost $250-$350 depending. GewoW only had the long pipes sealed while I had both (see in the pics, the pipe with the wool around it I had them cut that out and replace with a straight pipe as well). Hope this helps!

Did they take of the hair looking stuff that is wrapped around the pipe and replace that with straight pipe too?

Is it so loud now that all the cops are going to be on your ass?

The good thing about this exhaust is it is only loud when you want it... So in the sense no cops will not be up your ass because you can control how loud it is. I had both pipes sealed on my exhaust and never had a problem
