x pipe for M performance exhaust?

currently running on M Performance Inconel exhaust. Can I pair it with an after market x pipe? like to know if anyone here had done it before and video to see how it sounds like.

M Performance ONLY sounds good with stock X-pipe.

Is it just me or did kitw run a redlight just after the in car section starts toward the end? lol What I have been wondering is what it would sound like with a quad resonated mid like the Dinan. I didn't find that one in a search.

Yeah I couldn't find one either.
I wish I was thinking I should have installed the Quad resonated Gintani X-Pipe onto the M-Performance before installing the Gintani Sport... Dammit. It's sold now

that's the left turn light that is red.

I like the BMW Performance exhaust a lot more now that I've heard one fully broken in. I still think it will sound crappy with an x pipe though. I ran it with the turner test pipes which are less raspy than a quad resonated x pipe.

How much would you say the sound changed in terms of volume and what mileage seems to be the broken in point? I have tossed my DRB exhaust in storage and mounted the M perf which was the only one I could talk my wife into while still having some hope of seeing her naked sometime soon.

I don't think the volume changed much at all. A little louder but not in an annoying way. No additional bass. It gets more interesting, more melodic. That said, I can't figure out what in the exhaust is changing! it's pretty straight through... maybe the packing moves around. Beats me, but it certainly sounds pretty good, as long as you keep a stock x pipe.

An HFC x-pipe with cats near the stock location would probably be perfect for the performance exhaust.

when I had my BMW Performance exhaust I tried to pair it with a Borla X-pipe and then with a Challenge x-pipe street and it became extremely raspy, the sound was terrible, I ended up switching to an akra evo

I'm not convinced that you'll see power out of a setup like that. Seems like our headers really like a few more feet of pipe to efficiently scavenge.

Honestly the M performance will only work with two sets of cats and two resonators...weak IMO!

That's the Gintani setup. I had the Gintani and Challenge and the Gintani felt stronger via the seat of the pants dyno.

When I have the $ to spare - I'll try the Gintani with my performance exhaust.
