Trying to help a friend locate a Frozen Silver M3 to purchase.
Location not important (within ConUS).

there were only 40 made (aside from the few one-off "Individual" cars)...so get ready to pay a premium over the market value of a comparable M3, and likely he'll be waiting a while...

To date, I only recall seeing 2 or 3 frozen colors go on sale on this forum, and not sure what the transaction rate was. Most when they are put for sale are posted on autotrader and ebay which commanded a crazy premium... I think most forum members, if they see that high of a premium, will just laugh them off the board.

mdosu is right, might be hard to find. Just for fun I searched Dallas, TX area dealers and Autobahn Motors shows a frozen edition "in transit" as part of their inventory. Does not list color beyond frozen edition but might want to place a call if you want one that badly...

it's a 2013, so it can't be that edition car. I think maybe it's a one-off black or grey which are the most common orders...someone should put a call in.

They seem to pop up from time to time, but agreed, there aren't too many out there.

Update: it's a 2013 and listed as frozen white. Oh well, search goes on.

Try searching some of the So. Cal. dealers and see what they have...

Tell your friend he can save himself $40K buy buying a CPO M3 and then paying $4K to do the best frozen silver wrap job possible.

that makes sense. Frozen White (with blue and red) were the most recent BMW allocated special edition cars, hence the 2013 model year on the order sheet. If your friend has the money, why not just order it from BMW? It'll probably take less time doing this then waiting for a preowned car to go for sale and then doing all the negoitations...

Check Prestige BMW in NJ.... They have/had one there which i test drove. Car was clean and solid. 5k miles on it. I was very close to buying but ultimately decided against a frozen color. It's been there for a while...
