Ah. Here we have PhD's available in most technical areas. Engineering and science have a typical progression of BSc (4yr), MSc (+2yr), PhD (+2 or more yr). PhD in sci/eng gets you typically a completely different job description (read: advisory/specialist) if you work in industry at all, though usually they end up in research.

Generally, in Canada, BA (or BFa, BComm) are pretty easy to obtain compared to science/engineering degrees.

I, for one, find this thread incredibly interesting.. as I pictured at least 3/4 of us being of university degree in technical field, law, or medicine. Either that or extremely innovative entrepreneur. Not sure how else you afford these cars!

Thanks, but I'm not crying myself over this thread. I just voiced my opinion on seeing what I consider yet another pointless thread on here. Glad you and others are enjoying though. Have at it.

Trust me, this place is nothing like TCL, if you ever venture that way. But that place has quite a few more informative threads than the quality we're seeing on here lately. There's too much self-hype around this place, and some of the sarcastic posts above already allude to that.

Avoiding forums is probably a good idea if you're sensitive to what other people have/have accomplished.

Go on the Forum L4P.com, theres all sorts of guys with TT lambos, multiple ferrari's theres actually a forum member with a Veyron SS on order and a Koni Agera R on order.

Guy probably isnt older than 32-33.

I try when I can, and when I don't have anything interesting to start a thread about, I leave it alone, with the exception of maybe something humrous. But I agree, everything turns to crap pretty quickly these days.

It's not about being sensitive. I couldnt care less if someone is 18 or 88. I'd be geniuely happy for them either way. The issue is these types of threads becomes pointless pissing contests. The sacrastic posts above allude to the same thing (e.g. "INB4 my MS degree from blahlblah university is better than your...").

+1

Maybe I'm missing something but doesn't the fact that there are a wide range of answers to this poll suggest that there is little correlation (relatively speaking) between the level of degree and what you drive?

Doesn't that suggest that feeling superior because of your answer is idiotic?

"I have a doctorate from XXX in YYY and drive an M3."

"I didn't finish my undergrad in XXX and now I YYY and drive an M3."

[IMO, this is a very interesting and innocuous post. Thanks OP!]

Getting ready to scrub for surgery, but rather sure that most of the regular posters on this site are way smarter than me.... and I'm okay with that.

Although, I'm still running stock, and I must admit I got SC envy bad.

OP- great thread.

So, the main question now is, if not M3's, then what do dentists drive?

My dentist just got a 458. Obviously I know why he charges so much.

I'll actually answer the poll question. 2 Masters degrees here - Master of Music, M.S. in Information Systems. One degree I use to pay the bills. Guess which one.

lool about the Audi..

And thanks for the support on the thread. It was really a spur of a moment thing and decided to post it since i always wondered and didn't see that information when I did a search.

And apologies for our Canadian friends and other who's degree structure doesn't 100% map to that of USA degrees or at least to the ones I posted..I tried to cover a wide spectrum.

And I was really looking for a poll only and try to avoid or indicate "what school and what degree" to avoid sensitivity, stereotypes, etc..hence I didn't post my degree initially and I just voted...but it's all good guys..thanks guys.
