235/45/18 square winter setup?

is anyone running 235/45/18's as winter tires, or at least up front(26.3"od)? i have 4 stock front wheels (8.5's) and i was wondering if anyone ran this tall of a tire? it seems that people run taller tires when the square setup is using the rear wheels (9.5) at 265 or 275 with 40 profiles i.e. 26.3" outside diameter and 26.7" respectively. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I put some M3 219Ms with 235 40 18s on my girlfriends e90 xdrive. No issues with 40s...45 series might be little tall.

My current winter setup is 245/45R18 square on 18x8 ET20 wheels and it rubs a bit at full lock.

BMW recommends running a square 235/45-18 setup on the OEM e9x M3 270M winter wheels.
