Debating BBS CH-R 19's or 20's for my E92
I'm looking at picking up these BBS CH-R wheels for my ride but wasn't sure which size to go for.. It seems that most people are going for the 19's, but I don't know if this is more for a performance reason, or a financial reason.
I'm willing to spend the money for the 20's, but my main concern is the way the car sits, and having enough tire so the car doesn't ride like its riding on a rubber band feeling every crack in the road. I would appreciate your input on which size you recommend and why.. Thanks! |

19's > 20's due to weight

20's look good when the drop is perfect and low enough. If you don't have a decent drop, you will look like a 4 wheeler.
Go with 19's.

For some reason, I keep having this notion that 20's would look good on a 5 series/6 series.. and 19's for the M3 since its more of the smaller/nibble/sportier But I really just want the car so sit perfect.. |

I have 19's for my track setup and 20's for the street. The 20's look much better, however the 19's do make the car feel more agile. Just pick whatever size works for you, there's plenty of pictures on M3post for you to make up your mind.

I'm installing CH-R 20 tomorrow and I'll be at the bimmerfest.
So if you like, you can check my ride at the bimmerfest. (I also wonder how 20s will look on my M3 and afraid as well to be honest).

It really depends a lot on the rim. Rims with lips...especially a stepped lip, look better in 20's IMHO. Rims without a lip really look big enough in 19's... CH-R's included.

My biggest dilemma is that I don't want to lower the car or mess with suspension. But I'm getting a feeling that with 20's it will look sloppy if its not dropped on springs atleast.. |

Just installed CH-R 20s on my E90 M3.
I was worried about putting 20s in my ride since I always thought that 20s are too big. But guess what, it's not actually in person. When I put my matte black SF-71, I kinda felt that it seems smaller (looks more 18s. I think black color makes it look smaller) so i had somewhat confidence putting black CH-R 20s on my ride. And.. I'm very happy. It looks very 19s. Doesn't look too big at all. I'm sure I lost some ride quality but I didn't drive it yet so I can't tell anything yet. Anyway, here are pictures of CH-R 20s on AW E90M3 with Dinan stage I suspension.

I think you need to drop further now since you have the 20's. I have Dinan springs too and the drop is near perfect with 19s but with the lower profile tires combined with the 20s the car looks higher than OEM now to me. The wheels look good even though they are a bit big for my taste.
