So this happened this morning...

After a trip to the Home Depot and El Pollo Loco, this happened. A lady in a Lexus NX failed to stop coming out of the driveway of the shopping center and rear ended me. After getting out of our cars and looking at our bumpers kissing each other she had the nerve to say she didn't hit me, got back into her car, and wanted to drive away. The pictures tell a different story. After I flagged down a witness (whom's info I got) the lady got out of her car and finally admitted to hitting me. The damage isn't too substantial, which is good. There is only a small dent in the bumper that I'm assuming a body shop or dent removal professional can pop out.

On a more positive note, 50% off Kingsford charcoal at the Home Depot! $9.98 for 2 18lb bags.

Haha. Thanks.

Yeah, it's definitely not that bad. Not enough for me to get down about it. Just thought I'd share.

Should've smacked da bitch and said the same "I didn't hit you either." Seriously, hope you get it handled well.

"Whom's" -- that's a new one for "whose".

Sorry about the incident OP. Other person probably meant they didn't hit you in the sense that there wasn't any real damage. If the paint is intact, probably not even worth going through insurance especially if you currently have a no-claims discount.

And yeah what's with these photos? Low resolution is one thing, but why all the white space? Did you paste them into a Word document or something?

There you are looking at how she hit you, both cars touching and she says SHE DIDN'T HIT YOU?!!

I can't believe some people - wake up people and take responsibility!

OP sorry to hear and hope you can get it fixed soon!

Cheers,

Chris

Thank you. But she was saying she didn't hit me while our bumpers were still touching. There was no way to assess the damage until we separated the cars. But yes, the paint is intact and I won't be going through insurance if at all possible. I told her I would just get someone to pop out the dent and I'd send her the bill.

Not sure about the photos. I uploaded them directly from my computer. I'll try adjusting the size and re-uploading them.

That was the most irritating part of it along with her trying to get back into her car and drive away. That's when I flagged down a witness to get as much leverage on my side in case she tries to pull something shady. Who knows, maybe she'll try to claim I backed into her.

Try using tinypic.com, the site had options to post pictures on forum boards with different sizes.

I'm horrified that you are using kingsford when there are so many great Lump Charcoal brands on the market now. OH yeah.... sorry to hear about the bumper.

Haha. Thanks. I know there are better charcoal brands, can't really beat $5 per 18lb bag, though.

Unfortunately, don't believe you can "pop out" a deformed polyurethane bumper cover.
