You cannot. I have rtfm and monkey'ed with the system and cannot find a way to control both temps in unison. Sucks huh! lol. Oh well.....

What's the big deal?
It takes 2 seconds to adjust the other knob. Besides, how often do you actually adjust it? Mine has been set to 68 degrees since the day I bought it. |

Yeah, it aint a BFD. The issue is that even cheap cars have this feature...
Usually, it is just me in the car. I guess I am lazy and would rather adjust one knob instead of two. lol

yeah, it's such a pain that it takes a whole two seconds to adjust the passenger side, and it makes my arm hurt. J/K guys. good question, but it's not an option I would even care about. In my opinion that is something Toyota Sienna owners should be worried about not M3 owners.

Non-one is saying it is the most important feature in the world, just that it is a pity BMW left it out. Merc don't include this feature either. Personally, I would rather not have dual zone, in order to only have to adjust one control.

The only reason i was even bothered by it is the fact that my old ass A4 had the option. You basically held one of the buttons down and it locked both temp settings to the driver's side.
It's not a big deal, but when you see the feature in other cars and have been used to it, you miss it....sniff sniff. |

It would be awesome if they could integrate it with the seat sensors so that if no passenger is detected you can select a feature under climate: "if no passenger, control climate via driver's knob only" and then both sides will change with the left knob.
should be a pretty easy thing to do and, i agree, it is a pity BMW left this out. |

I guess I'll chime in. I like to have the option for synced or separate L and R temp controls. Honda does this very well. BMW should include it. Sure it is not a big deal but the devil is in the details, just little things like the seat belt assistant or comfort access. Not a big deal not to have it, but it sure is nice to have it.

Agreed. Even our G35 has it. Oh well. I just have to get used to the dual control.

Good climate control A/C should have two seperate controls so the passenger can set there's seperately.
My wife always turns her side down really low whereas I refer not to freeze my b**ls off!

Auto Dimming mirrors, rain sensing windshield wipers, technology package!!, idrive!...
The fact is you are paying up to your eyeballs for this car. Something so stupid as a sync temp button should be standard. I find myself always syncing both temperatures after taking a passenger with me. And I always ask myself the same question, why they didn't add a sync button? Nobody cares (you know who you are) if you think this is not an issue. When you jump to this level of expense in a car (specially if you ACTUALLY had to WORK hard to be able to afford it) then my friend, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT! to complain about a feature that should be standard. Have you ever heard about "the client is always right". |

I know this is a little off topic but do you guys know how to keep the air recirculation from resetting everyime you turn on the car? I like to keep the AC recycling air from the inside not grabbing air from the outside...I looked thru the manual and I couldnt find it. Is it even possible?
