mineral white / black sapphire project
I'm not going to go too crazy on this since it's a lease, but when I was getting my old M6 wheels powdercoated to reuse as winter wheels on my M3, I decided that a metallic black might play well off of the metallic white. I'm a little worried it will look too 'bling', but I'm often willing to take risks in order to try something different.
Here is a wheel, I've got a badge and a few other trim pieces coming in black sapphire in the next few days. Car should be here in 7-14 days. |

Please do post pics when it's here. It's hard to imagine how it's going to look but at least you're not afraid to try something different. Good luck.
Cheers.

Here are some more parts that came in. It's an overcast day, so the photos didn't come out very well.

Looks great! I hope it will look good on the car too, might just look like "regular black" from more than a few inches away though.

Yeah, on the road it may just look like gloss black, and that's fine. Just wanted to add a little twist from the norm. It's also a little more noticeable in person, however, similar to the mineral white, where people can't tell the difference between it and AW in photos.

Everything but the wheels came from IND. Nate was very responsive to my many questions and quickly filled the order. I don't think they normally paint the badges but it wasn't an issue at all when I suggested it. Each piece came wrapped in its own microfiber cloth and 4 layers of bubble wrap, they did an excellent job.
