The Tail has some outstanding scenery this time of year. The leaves make for some brilliant photos, and it is always fun to find them tucked away in your engine bay months later

Nice pictures and I hope you enjoyed your time. I just looked at the pictures and haven't read the thread...

Start Rant.....but I use to live in Knoxville and drove the 318 turns quite often. I noticed you crossed the yellow line in the pictures...please be careful. I know of a few bikers that have been killed because of this. Please drive within your limit. This is only one of the reasons why there is increased police presence...as you found out it looks like. /Rant

I hope you enjoyed your time in the Smokies!!

We had the greatest time!

We honestly were intimidated by the road itself and it took us 2 runs to realize that crossing this line was a danger to the bikers at full lean. We have so much respect for this road and ran hard but within boundary for the rest of the day!
