Akra CEL deleter?

If you install the Akra CEL deleter will the rear O2 sensors show as "ready"

Anyone know how this deleter actually works? Is it just automatically clearing any CEL code as it pops up? Is it only clearing the rear O2 code as it pops up? If works by just clearing the code as it pops up will you be able to pass a readiness test, or is that just random depending on last time a code was cleared by it?

So then we can assume it only shuts off rear O2 CEL's?

Also, did you check to see if rear still shows as "ready" or do you get n/a?

I'd be paranoid dealership would detect s/w tuning. I wouldn't want my warranty voided b/c of it, LOL! A member on here had his engine or whole warranty voided b/c of it (in Asia I think). At the earliest I'd do a tune is when my warranty ends but that's just me.

So I'm guessing no one actually knows how this thing works? Or those who do don't want to say it...... Anyone know what kind of readings you get from rear O2 sensor with this thing? What happens if you have the deleter installed and go for a readiness test? No one has tried this yet?

If someone with CEL deleter installed would like to come by - we'll tell with a quick diagnostic scan.

That would be awesome. Also would be curious how many miles they had on the system. I wonder if it just clears codes as they pop up or if it stops them from even popping up. If it just clears codes as they pop up it could leave you for a period of time after clearing code until emissions sensors come back up and show ready..... In that case I guess it's just chance whether a code had been cleared to close to checking the readiness of the sensors.

Wow...this is just laughable. I TOLD my service advisor I had the CEL deleter and he said "oh cool".And that was that.

The CEL deleter ONLY keeps the annoying "Increased emission" CEL from coming on. Everything else still comes on normally. Also, there are no stored codes for increased emissions with the CEL deleter. I've set of the code for brakes after running a dyno and it comes on normally.

I now have approx 1500 miles and 3 track days with the deleter and no CEL. My service advisor is very impressed with my exhaust and certainly will not make an issue out of it. Nice to have a supportive service advisor that races a Euro spec e36 M3.

I have no issues with my SA either at the dealership I go to. However NYS inspection is all done on a computer and needs to have the rear O2 pass a readiness test.
