MN Roads are Killing my Car!
The roads here are out of hand now, potholes everywhere. On a daily basis I'm hitting 6" deep potholes at 50+MPH. This can't be good.
No noticeable alignment issues or bent wheels yet, but it seems inevitable. Just venting. |

Dude I feel your pain. I was here at OU and ran over a 5inch bottle with
my IS. I thought my alignment would be fucked. It literally scared me lol. They attempted to fix the pothole after I complained, but it did no good

I'm in the same boat but I am running the OEM 18's with snows. It seems especially bad this year. I picked up some 20's for my summer wheels. Hopefully they will get these pot holes filled quickly in the spring. I think I might have to wait until late spring to install them.

Yeah, me too...running 18's and try to avoid downtown city streets, which are the worst. Try zigging and zaggy at lower speeds.

I left the same way when I was in Toronto. C63 would have been a better choice If I was still living there.

God I can relate to that expression. I currently have a really stiff suspension on my WRX, and everytime I hit an unexpected pothole, that deafening BANG sound makes my jaw drop and I am just speechless....makes me want to cry.
18's would help though.

The MN roads are especially bad this winter. That's precisely why mine is in the garage - it won't see the sun until the snow is (mostly) gone. One good pothole, and those 19's will be toast.

Running OEM 18's with snows...I agree the roads are awful especially France Ave and parts of 169...I must look like I have had several drinks the way I zig zag down the street!!!..
45 days til the 19's go back on along with the recently purchased M&S 12mm's and M&S filter!!! |

Increase your following distance so that you have more time to survey the road. Also stay off of back roads, the road crews seem to be doing a decent job at patching main streets.
Outside of that, the roads suck year-round. You're asking for trouble if you run a modified suspension or wheels larger than 18". |
