The design was created obviously taking cues from the M3 GTS front lip that has a proven design and purpose, which is similar in design to ours. Beyond that, we consulted with a few of the motorsports engineers and race teams on the design. With their imput combined with where we wanted to go with it, this lip was born as you now see it. It was not wind tunnel tested, nor are any others for the M3 that i can think of, except some OEM parts.

The GTS lip opts to not block the front surface area of the wheels well. We chose to block this area and possible area that would generate lift. As always, and in the article you posted, downforce does come at the expense of some drag.

Not many people have the acess or budget for wind tunnel full scale testing as you can immagine. Like most of the race teams and parts designers out there, we try to stick to following most of the rules of thumb and end up with a great and functional product at a price people can afford to swallow.

Just when we thought the GT Front lip was impressive, here's what arrived on Friday:



The X-pipes are already well known as an awesome upgrade from the OEM pipe, but the diffuser is what really caught our eye.

No cut fiberglass or wet lay here, this diffuser is constructed from 100% Dry fibre construction as seen on the GT Front lip spoiler - making it unbelievably strong and ultra-featherweight. Fibre weave is even with a buffed clearcoat for maximum shine.
