How competitive is this E90 deal?
Just joined the board today. Purchasing an E90 and this is my best deal to date which seems super agressive. I would appreciate any feedback.

Your math is correct - 9.3% off msrp , over 1K under invoice. No MSD's on a US delivery - havent been able to match it. Nobody has been able to touch $769/month. I'm gonna sign the deal tomm. have a good weekend.

That looks like a great deal for a non-ED, unless there is hidden dealer cash on the car that is not advertised (otherwise the below-invoice pricing would be hard to achieve). GOLFFRR, is there dealer cash or any other discount on the vehicle?

No not at this moment. However sometimes a dealer will have had a car on their lot for a long period of time and want to sell it off. You have to remember every day a car sits on the lot it cost roughly 13 to 18 dollars to the dealership. This charge covers a lot of things to many to get into to.
OP if in fact you are getting a 1k below invoice deal congrats that is awesome!

6 weeks? So it is an ordered car as opposed to one sitting on the lot? Wow, then it looks like a really good deal, and makes me wonder if there is some dealer cash on the east coast that GOLFFRR is not aware of (since he is on the west coast).

WOW
man, thats an awesome deal, I am in the midwest and the best that I am getting is 600 above invoice. Where are you getting this at?
Here is what I have configured so far, E90, Jerez Bk, Carbon leather, Bamboo beige, ZCV, ZCP, ZPP and CW package. My dealer tells me that the invoice on this configuration is $62,405 with an MSRP of $67,525. I cross checked with the posted invoice pricing thread but it does not reflect the 400 plus raise after 1/11. What do you guys think? Are they coming clean with me on the invoice? |

Yes - this is on a custom build - the CA swapped my build with what I believe is an existing March build on a 335i sedan. The CA said he has to get me into the car no later than 3/31 to get this deal. He may have received some incentive in doing that - not really sure and don't need to know. All I know is it seems like a very strong deal - especially considering minimal out of pocket with no MSD's.
appreciate the feedback. |

So is this an ED, or a US delivery price? I ran the numbers you posted, with a 7% sales tax, including the loyaty MF, and it's coming out to $790.90/month ($739.16 without tax). The $3951 out of pockets seems a bit high to me. I'm paying closer to $2600 out of pocket on a E90 (ED) that has an MSRP of $70,675, and that includes CA prices for registration, license, etc, but no MSD.
Are you certain your initial out of pocket isn't including at least 1, possibly 2 MSDs? And if this is not an ED, then it's an amazing deal considering your ordering the car and not taking something that's been sitting on the lot. |

This is not a matter of negotiating better or not. If the MSRP is as you've indicated, the cap cost is as you've indicated, you're putting $0 down, you have no MSD, you have an MF of .00205, 12K /yr (=60% residual in 36 month)and a sales tax rate of 7%, you're monthly payment would be $822.96 ($769.12 without including the tax, which leads me to believe you did not including that in your OP). Are you somehow not paying tax? Is that something specific to NJ? There's no other way around it. It's math. Although it seems you're getting an almost ED invoice price without ED, which I've never heard of, but a tip of the hat to you for scoring that deal. EDIT: By any chance, does your drive off include ALL of your tax up front? If so, that would equate to about $1938, which would help explain the high drive off cost and low monthly. Either way, you're paying the same at the end of 36 months, just giving up more of your cash up front. |

It does not matter whether the "drive-off" is an upfront payment or gets rolled into the lease payment, it is still one heck of a deal. Yes, NJ taxes have to be paid upfront, just like everything else you can either pay them in your "drive-off" or you can roll them into your lease payment. The drive-off is not too high based on the monthly payment: 769 first month + 769 sec deposit + 725 acq fee + ~1,600 tax. Based on these assumptions, the 769 payment implies a cap cost of about $1300-1500 below invoice. After you figure in the center's profit, I would say there has to be a $1,500-2,500 or maybe even greater hidden dealer cash on the M3s right now. I remember there was an unadvertised dealer cash on M6s at the tail end of their production run of about $17,000, and it is likely that this might be something similar and that we will find out about it some more in a month or two.
Either way, congrats HAPPYHOUR on a great deal on one of the best cars in production at this time. Quote:
