I previously had an IR/IR E46 M3 convertible and it was also hard to miss (and I still miss it). Was initially tempted to do MR, but would have reminded me of the old car too much, so went JR/FR. You made a great choice.

I am right down the road from you, we'll have to catch up this spring.

Hmm my car has gone from "in the body shop" to "in production" on the phone system. Almost seems like going backwards. Not "in the paint shop" or "being assembled" but just "in production."

What site is everyone using for the boat schedules? I checked the Shipping/Tracking thread but couldn't find a comprehensive list of all Bremerhaven cargo departures, my car will be heading to Halifax.

edit: Found it with a bit more digging:

So my car status changed to 152 about 30 minutes ago! Yes I'm a little nuts about calling, but at least I can confirm that the status can change mid-day.

Anyway the interesting thing is the message now says "Your vehicle is in the paint shop with an estimated completion date of 2/14/11." So now I'm thinking the estimated completion date I had been given before was not for the vehicle itself being done but merely for the body shop step being finalized. It would make sense since I do believe this is week 7 of production.

I guess I'll see when it is actually complete... I'm now guessing it will be built by end of day on wednesday.

It is a little confusing because I have received messages saying "You vehicle is in production with an estimated completion date of 2/14/11" before.

Same here. Looking at paint work finishing 02/14/11. Interestingly enough I ordered an e90 M3, Space Grey, black novillo, ZCP, ZCW, ZP2, 6MT.

Well my status is now "your vehicle was released to a carrier and is awaiting transport to a port of exit."

So I guess 2/14/11 was the correct completion date after all.

I almost got DCT .

Do you know how long it generally takes from carrier release to US arrival?

From loading on a ship, I'm guessing about 2 weeks for you and about 3 weeks for me. The link below shows the shipping schedules from Bremerhaven to whichever port is closest to you. From released to carrier to US arrival I have no idea...depends on backlog at Bremerhaven i suppose.

Thanks for that. Looks like the earliest could be the 23rd if we are really lucky on the Faust.

Whaaaa? Your car was made 2 weeks ago and you still haven't gotten a boat? How long did it take your car to arrive at Bremerhaven from Regensburg?

On another note, my car is in transport to Bremerhaven this morning.

It left the factory (status 190) on the 9th and 2-3 days to get to Bremerhaven, next boats to Halifax are 17th and 25th.

Remember, they use K-Line shipping as well. We've had several come across recently on the Florida Highway, California Highway, and Bosporus Highway K-Line ships. Unfortunately, there's no way to check if you're on one of these boats, except through your CA.

Best Wishes!

Thanks! Great point.

I had forgotten about K Line. However, I went to their website to check their schedule and unless I get on TODAY'S boat (not-gonna-happen) then their schedule looks as bad as W&W at this particular time for me (going to brunswick).

Sorry for the large size but I thought this chart might assist others at port.

I know! I've been day-dreaming about actually making it aboard the K-Line boat that's departing today. I know it won't happen but I still dream.

They should take their time and make sure no damage before it hits VPC . Keeping fingers crossed.
