well there will be 3 brakets that will either attach with double sided tap or perm glue on the inner side of the bumper that will hold the reflector from falling in. the refelctor its self is designed with similar tabs as the tow hitch tabs.

the gap you are seeing is because of way the bumper is cut (has a angle cut) This might be fixed in the future but right now I couldnt cover the gap all the way because teh plastic would be to thin and to easy to damage. but being that the plastic is angled it can be painted and would show less gap area when painted. I will show you pics when this is done as well.

Do you have to remove the back bumper cover to install these?? I noticed the wheel is off, maybe to allow easier access for install?

Whatever the reason (as per the OPs reply to this) the gaps look uneven and too large. Unacceptable to me. Great idea needs work.

Nope not at all. The wheel is off because they are at the tire shop getting mounted.

Have a nice set of 19" HRE 540R's with smoke black powder centers/Polished Alum lip with 285 BFgoodrich G-force T/A KDW II in rear and 255 BFgoodrich G-force T/A KDW II in Front. I cant wait to see it today when they are on the car.

the fillin reflectors can be mounted from the out side of the car. In fact it is a pain to get to that part of the bumper through the wheelwell anyways.

I will have them installed on my car and at Bimmerfest. My car will be in the AA booth/tent.

That looks nice.

I wonder if I could take the car to a body shop and they could fill in the gaps and repaint the bumper.

thous pictures are them installed without correct brackets. literally installed with double sided tap and floating. the brackets taht I will be making today will hold them in place and will make the gaps relativly even. you will have to see it when its done really these are just teasers.

Dont know how you all feel but In person it looks better then the factory painted reflectors and it isnt painted yet. I hope to have some completed pics tomorrow!

Dope. I think it looks great and is much better than painted versions. Just get the gapping a bit more snug/uniform and you're all set.

Looking good so far... Much better than painted OE reflectors IMO.

Thanks again for taking the initiative with this

I'm still trying to make it in time but its starting to not look good. I have made the demo kit but I dont think I will have any ready for sale at Bimmerfest I ahve plenty of reflecrots made but none painted yet and i wont be able to get to it until after work. Yes I have a normal Job software development.

Even if I could get all the different colors painted today I woudlnt want to install them on anyones car yet because I would need them to cure first. I'm still trying though but I would rather make sure they are done well rather then rushed..

I did a test run yesterday with the right side installed with brackets just to make sure they would hold up to wind pressure. I took the car up to 95+ without any issues. Keep in mind this test set brackets were installed with double sided tap. Have to try worst case scenario first.

I should at least still have one set complete and on my car for demo @ Bimmerfest.

I know Bimmian has normal painted reflectors for sale at approx $85 shipped but are currently on backorder. **********s is like $95 shipped and on back order. Last but not least Evosport is also selling the standard painted reflectors at approx $115 shipped.

Anyhow, I am also on vacation right now and will be back on monday. At that time I will post a group buy for these reflectors at a 20% discount that will be up for 1 week to sign up. That makes it $80 a set + $10 shipping in the states for a total of $90. This will be a one time group buy and for all forum members after we will offer you a 10% discount for a total of $100 shipped in the states.

I will post a formal message with more details to the reflectors and this GB. Until Monday!

How about the installation?

Will they need retouching of the paint?
