To be able to have a transmission this capable at this price range of a car I think is also such a good deal! You would have to jump to a Porsche.

As M3-S65 said above, those two are the major issues that I am worried about with owning DCT, I do plan to keep my car for a long time as well.

1. Becoming bored with DCT.
2. Repair cost as it ages.

Still such a dilemma at times......I am actually planning to buy a new M3 and this question is just killer.
Now I'll play devils advocate:
1. Love it during traffic...really love it.
2. DCT ZCP I think was as low as 12.3 to 12. 5 quarter mile...so you will be faster than the guy with a manual. Sorry MT guys ...
3. When I am tired as crap and I hate the idea of driving...anywhere..I just get in and go. No clutch in, clutch out, shifting to second blah blah..
4. Hand free when I want it to be...girlfriend, coffe, phone. etc etc..
5. It can be quite relaxing....not having to shift.
6. Street racing is a breeze ...no miss shifts, no worries of a 10k Civic beating you, EVOs nope, Vettes, you name it...even if you know they are faster they rarely win...why? All these dopes miss shifts...you wont..you have a DCT.

DCT is faster, quicker and that's all it is about.

6MT drivers are superior because they control the car, while DCT drivers the car controls them...
