Yeah, may be good for straight line speed, but with the heavy V10 in front, I suspect ferocious understeering once a turn shows up.

The weight difference between the S14 (E30 M3 Engine) and the S85 (M5-M6 V10) is only 95lbs........... dont think it will really make a big difference.

S14 350lbs
S85 445lbs

That's a fast E30 M3! Although an S85 is not my first choice for E30 M3 swaps, I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

You're thinking of the M3 V8, which BMW lists at 445 pounds. If memory serves, the V10 is around 495 pounds. Counting extra cooling needs, another 150+ pounds on the front wheels of such a small, short-wheelbase car will completely F up the handling.

You sir are correct.... in the weight department. The additional weight can be compensated for though with a great suspension set up and an experienced driver.

fact is that E30 M3 was fast as hell, to completely decimate an E60 M5... Wow

I more or less agree - but in all around driving, you're going to be aware of that weight on the front end. Not saying it isn't terrific, but as a driver you'll always be aware of that penalty.

Agreed that that V10 M3 is crazy fast...but there's always someone faster.

If you scroll down the video you posted they also have this vid of an E34 M5 destroying the same V10 M3. Ridiculously fast cars.

That E30 requires bags of concrete in the back for traction

I know they fit a S85 V10 in a E92 (335i drifter dude from SoCal swapped one) chassis...wonder how it would change the dynamics of a E92 ....Would be a great upgrade from the E92 M3 to a S85 since it maintains the ///M philosophy.
