The GT500 is more of a drag machine and never was intended as a big road/track car like the Z/28 (even though it's only 2 seconds slower on the 'ring than the Z/28).
The Laguna Seca Boss 302 was $49.9K...still under $50K. As far what was going around Nurburgring...only Ford knows.

The nurburgring videos sound like a cross plane v8 and I don't think ford ever lapped a boss around the ring.

I am more curious about when the hp wars will stop. I used to think that 500 was the limit, then we shot right past 600hp. I knew it was only a matter of time before 700hp became mainstream. It is almost a certainty now that the next GT500 will have over 700hp also.

With me I think 500 or even a little bit more is enough for me.. More than that I wouldn't even know what to do with it. 700 something horsepower will probably throw me into a tree haha

Sounds really good.

Okay, okay....but really, it does sound good. Mustangs always do. I wish I liked the ergonomics of the car (..generally speaking). Every time I drive one I hate how it feels from behind the wheel (..high dash, shifter feel, etc.).

Not sure about the sound. I wish it was more like F8x sound... The one that comes from inside the car.

Lol, just joking around. Real always beats fake

Thats why I didn't get into one...almost bought a Boss 302 just couldn't deal with the rest of the car. You have to keep in mind that the new Mustang which went into production just a week ago should go a long way in remedying this.

Let's hope so. That would make a world of difference in terms of appeal.

I also looked at a 302 before i looked at a M3. after seeing both cars in person, then sitting in both of them. the M3 was clearly a better car, and came with a high price tag though. I am much happier daily driving this car.

I agree...although I just leased a 2014 Ford Fiesta St through my business to take over as a DD. The amount of money I saved on fuel pays for the Fiesta ST.

Very fun little go kart...

Not the M3 however...I just hate putting a ton of mileage on this car when I plan on keeping it.

'Murica has always played the muscle game perfectly, but the refinement game needed work. They're definitely getting there.

I know you can make a decent exhaust noise from turbo engine. My preference is engine noise though.
When I had 335is the exhaust was not bad at all. The engine however sounded less intense even compared to n52.
