Got a ticket today

I never heard of this whole lawyer scam thing until I moved down here, maybe they don't have it in Ct but it's a joke. That's why everyone down here drives like assholes, because they know they can get away with it for like $150 and have no penalty on their license.

update for anyone that cares: Decided to go with a "friend of the family" lawyer. just got off the phone with him. He is charging me 100 bucks, which is about 20-30 dollars more then most places, but he is a good guy, and i trust him. he said he wouldnt be charging me anything, but he actually hires another lawyer to take care of it, and just uses his lay offices name or something. who knows. i dont care. i just want it taking care of. he said the first thing he will do is go over thhe ticket and see if there is anything he can get it thrown out for. like i said earlier. he said if it gets fought at one paticular court, he knows the dude in charge of traffic citations there, and can get it thrown out through him. he pulled up my record and said i havent gotten a ticket since before 05. so i should be totally fine. the only tickets i got in 05 were a no insurance one and 2 window tint. i will keep anyone that cares updated.

So let's say my license has my old address and the cop forgets to ask for my new address and fill in the old one on the ticket, I can probably get it thrown out?

good one... i have no idea. everytime i have ever gotten pulled over, the first thing the cop says is "is this your address still". i mean, you would have to prove he didnt ask you, plus it might be your fault you didnt get your lisence fixed right away.
