At least OUR banter ended in a mutual drink! Salute!...or should I say Prost!

I'd rather go slower in a Porsche or M3, and have, what I find to be, a much prettier car. Beauty is truely in the eye of the beholder.

Excellent performance though, absolutely excellent.

Totally agree with you.

It's not only about the looks for me. Behind the wheel of a high powered Japanese car vs a BMW (Mercedes, Audi or Porsche for that matter) in a long distance high speed blast (>125mph), I feel I'm in a well built shell compared to the indestructible feel of a solid piece of German engineering.

What makes you think that? I seriously doubt it. I'd guess 3500lb tops--not that I have any specific rationale for that.

It may not be as heavy as a M6, but I did read somewhere recently that it would likely weigh in at or about 3650-3700 lbs. Obviously on par with a M3, but 150-200 lbs. more than the 997tt.

Well I just think cause of all the technology they are putting into this car, and I doubt its going to be a light weight. But lets wait and see.
