The Magic Castle in Hollywood parking
I got invited to go to the Magic Castle this Friday. First thing I did was to search online for parking information, but it seems that they only have valet parking available there. I never valet my car before and hate to do it since I heard many horrific stories about valet parking.
Has anyone been there before and do you know where is the closest self-parking? |

I have been there once and the valet wasn't too bad. If you do prefer to park your own car, when you are driving down Franklin pass magic castle entrance second street make a left and you can park there. Should be about a 3-5 minute walk back to the castle.

Don't forget to add that he and his date (if he brings one) will have to walk up that steep hill to the Magic Castle.

Thanks for the replies guys!
It looks like Magic Castle hotel next door has self parking available for 11 dollars overnight. The problem is I don't know if it's for residents only. I might also try Powerbeast's suggestion or, if necessary, valet park. |

Unless you don't mind a ding, scratch, scrape, dent.... just say "no" to valet.
It's not that I think they "intend" to cause any harm, but, simple little things can cause a scratch, scrape, etc.

I was just there last week for my first time with the wife.. i knew there was only valet parking and i still took my M3. I'm not too worried about the valet but the steep hill and tight parking is what worries me, and at the exit the driveway is so steep that you will guarantee to scrape your front lip. Take another car, surely you have another can in the household.

My car is lowered with splitters. So, in my case, it will be a guarantee scraping . I guess we'll take my wife's car then. |

you can try to tip them or you could drop the wife off in front then park across the street at hollywood and highland. it's a bit of a walk, but it helps keep my mind at ease.

It was good. We took the wifey's car there so I just valeted it. The entrance is definitely super steep. I'm so glad that I didn't risk taking my car there.
It was our first time there and we had a great time! I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't been there. |

I went a while back when I had my 335i, lowered with a lip.
I was able to park it myself, but the walk back was a pain. Next time, I'll most likely drop off my date and do the walk myself (this is assuming I go with my gf whom I am familiar with. If it's a new girl..... I'll take the Z4 which I don't care as much about lol) Good idea taking the wife's car :P
