dried up bird shit...damaged paint on roof

I have been having some bad luck with my car lately... Earlier this year I was having problem with the transmission.Last month, a valet at a restaurant backed in to some fence and dented trunk of my car.
And now some potent bird shit that dried up on the roof actually damage the paint.

Now I am looking for options to fix this... Would it be possible to touch this up somehow? Do I need to paint the whole roof?
I am also entertaining the idea of wrapping the roof in CF Vinyl. How do they look on Jerez Black? Do they last? How much does it cost?

Appreciate any information I could get.

That's realy bad luck ,bird shit is realy baked into the paint and seems it was there for a long time,so as stated above first step with clay bar, polish... !
But it seems that there is more than bird shit on your roof ....

Wow that's etched the clear pretty badly. I think you're going to have to wet sand that very carefully, then compound/polish. May still not take it all out.

Don't ever let bird bombs sit on you paint. The acids eats right through the clear.

So appears to be a Type 1 according to this. So you may be able to get away with an agressive compound to get it out.

Wet sanding should be your last solution. In those pictures it is hard to tell whether it has etched or just baked to the surface.

While sitting in the shade, soak it with some detailer/bug remover/water for 5-10min. Just get to it soft. Try and remove as much as you can before you take a compound to it. Clay might help a little bit but I wouldn't think its a necessity

Meg's ultimate compound should work fine, its fairly aggressive for a compound and has a really long working time, so you won't damage the paint. Unlike Meg's 105 which is a very aggressive non diminishing compound.
