For city driving the normal C63 felt no different than the P31. IMO the low end torque made it more suitable than the M for city driving/hooning. In the end, Merc won me over with a great deal. It's really hard to choose between both cars unless you're a professional race car driver.
Merc offered a better deal then on a C63 then an outgoing M3? I think I may need to refocus.

Here in Canada, Merc has been very aggressive with their pricing and rates. It also surprised me that BMW couldn't even come close to competing on my deal even though I'm a return customer and new to Merc.

BMW is like Apple in that regard. Regardless of what people think of their cars, whether you think they're overpriced or don't have value when compared to other manufacturers, BMW think they have the best product on the market and people will keep buying despite what other manufacturers are offering.

In the past, some people trashed the BMW M3 GTS versus the C63 AMG Black Series. Well let me tell you one thing guys, whether you're BMW fans or not:

The BMW M3 is still the King of the Ring. A very simple example of how good the M3 is. It's beating the best sports cars like Corvette, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Ford, and Jaguar in American Le Mans Series and is now the title's champion with 117 points vs Corvette with 90 points. So it could come as no surprise if it beats that silly Mercedes-Benz or Audi.

///M is somewhat of a witchcraft isn't it?... always so ahead of its time. I mean they are forever comparing newly released cars to older BMW's just to compete. I.E. Top Gear the new Jag vs. e60 ///M5. That Jag as five years on that ///M5. I guess it is just sad BMW has such a high benchmark compared to a lot of the auto manufactures out there.

coming from someone who owns a C63 AMG...I respect you.

Amazing exhaust note, Amazing seats, Too much power for it's own good. Very nice to have 481HP and 444 ft lbs of torque under your right foot though. Chirping your tires in any gear at any RPM puts a smile on your face time after time and never gets old.

Winding an engine wears thin after a while for some because in day to day, you need get up and go off the line, not when you're at 80MPH. I ride sport bikes so revving to 16k is what I do on a day to day basis.
They seriously need to give the c63 amg 12" wide rear rims or awd. 444 lbs is too much for a rwd car with such narrow tires.

has any amg owners tried this. i searched tirerack and only see 9.5" wide rear rims available which suck.

They really do. Help reign in all that power and put it to the ground. When the tires are cold, you can't go anywhere near the throttle. Hell, you can't go anywhere near the throttle with the tires warmed up. It just gets annoying after awhile having TC cut in every single second. You got to be really careful with the throttle.

The M3 is still the best in the category in term of driving dymnanic out there. Though, the question would still be, even though the M3 feels more connected, is the C63 gain any track time from the their latest version? Even though its more hash, I'm wondering if they improved their lap time.
