Well this may be so but as I live in the real world were the weather is unpredictable and the road surfaces aren't always ideal I don't have my M button set to this, I actually doubt there is too many that do. So I like most other have to go through the full procedure which does take much longer than it should and definitely longer than all others. I'm simply stating the fact that BMW seem to believe their M car owners want every configuration possible under the sun.

As for whether it's that great, well it offer no control over wheelspin which maybe OK in the dry but is awful in the wet. Try and control the wheelspin with the throttle and lose the one great thing it DOES have to offer which is the automatic shift up at rev limit. Call me a killjoy but compared to some other systems it's piss poor.

damn my dads talking about getting one, looks like I'll need to get a supercharger to keep up. He seems to be in a horsepower war with me ever since I got my M and beating his Infiniti M45 Sport.

Jag is not a bad looking car, It looks much better in person to me. I'm not surprised of the results based on the HP difference

I don't personally trust those kinds of 'tests'; they're just entertainment to me. I'm not defending the M3, as I'm sure it's outgunned by that Jag, no matter what (common sense), but I don't think that badly; it's 90+ HP, but also a heck of a lot heavier. Being a 6MT vs auto, I question what gear the M3 was in at the start of the test, and if both started pulling at the same time and WOT. I'd also have the same doubts if the M3 had blown away the Jag. Good day.

The M3 will always be a much more special car compared to a XFR.

Although, I do admit that the XFR is definitely a car that deserves praise.

When do you think was this XF platform that the XFR is based on desgined

Yes, exactly when Ford owned Jaguar prior to the fiscal 2008.

Cars dont get designed overnight and roll on the assembly line the next day...
