If you watch the video carefully you will see that as the M3 saw the EVO coming in fast, it went to the right side first then to the left lane all of a sudden because the m3 driver may have realized that the track had a turn and him staying on the right side will make him crash on the wall.
I guess he panicked and tried to go left to avoid the wall, but it was too late coz the EVO was already passing him. IMHO, that was some poor decision making skills by the m3 driver. |

Technically the evo did have a line, but he should not have passed there, the M3 made a mistake with his line and didn't enter the turn from the opposite side so he corrected his course, the evo should have waited until after the turn.

Just like the title says: M3 crashed into EVO. Is the M3's fault no doubt

The description in the video says this:
"The driver of the M3 fled the scene and fled the trackday. Make up your own mind why and whether this is tolerable."

Asking which driver was at fault is like asking which fighter is at fault for getting a bloody nose at a boxing match. You enter the game knowing the risks. The M3 was in front and was quickly overcome. The M3 is at fault for not being aware of a much faster car passing him on the track. The M3 took his 1/2 out of the middle of the track and didn't yield to the Evo. The Evo is at fault for driving like a madman with significantly slower cars and/or less skilled drivers on the track. Moreover the Evo passed in a difficult curve where risk was high. Each driver should be responsible for his own car's repair. The track owners should be responsible for guard rail repair. I personally place greater fault on the Evo driver for failure to take caution when overcoming slower moving vehicles (and for driving an Evo).

I feel that but he should have just waited until after that curve I agree.
