Anyone else awaiting transport?
My car finished production and paint shop yesterday. It is now in awaiting transport status? Anyone else here in the same situation?

I am doing the PC delivery and I already have my date of May 20th. So given that I am still anxious for my car to catch a ride ASAP but it will be just sitting at the PC longer if it does. Oh well ... I hope the PC delivery is worth it.
BTW my status is waiting for release to the carrier. I wish BMW would take a picture of your car when it completes production. Or even better would be to have a webcam that would allow you to watch it being built.

My message says, "being transported to the port of exit" If you are scheduled for PC delivery May 20 then I expect mine around the same time, maybe a bit earlier since it only has to go to MD from NY and not down to South Carolina.

I found out today that I'm on the Otello due into NY on the 24th. Anybody else on this ship?

Mine finished production on the 7th and is also still listed as awaiting transport. If I read the WW website correctly, the Medea leaves port today... maybe we'll be on that one.

Yeah mine finished on the 9th. I believe it will catch the Medea today or the Courage on 4/21. If I am to get it on 5/20 at the PC it has to catch one of those. I find the BMW info frustrating though. The status never seems to be correct. My status still says waiting to be released to the carrier. If I call and talk to someone they act like it hasn't even finished production but I know it has.

I was a little frustrated/worried too... my status changed to 'being transported to port of exit' on the 8th and stayed that way through the
14th. According to Google, Bremerhaven is only 6.5 hours away from Regensburg... (who knew I'd be learning German geography? ) so I was starting to get a little paranoid about what happened to the car in transit. I finally gave in and talked to a live customer service rep on the 1-800 number and they confirmed that it was at the port waiting for a vessel; sure enough the next day the phone status said the same thing. Whether it was coincidence or they manually updated the stuck status, I don't know. Still, it's fun to follow the car along on its journey, even with the frustration! |

Mine just changed to "In Transit" today!! It was in the "waiting for a shipping vessel" state for 2 days before it changed. Hey runedub...glad to see your car is done! I bet our cars are on the same boat coming over to CA.

I really wonder now why mine still says waiting to be released to the carrier? It is not even at the damn port yet if this is true.

Arrghhhh....Your car finished production a day after me and you are on the ship already. Maybe the difference is West coast vs. East coast.
