RPi GT Exhaust '08 M3
Well, Eloy from RPi called me this morning and decided that he is going to make a full exhaust system for our car. Sections 1,2,3. Complete bolt on. Price will be 1100-1400 for the muffler section.
He will be using my car for two to three weeks for designing and dynoing the exhaust. I’m ok with that but he told me he would also need my car after the exhaust is on for about a week at a time after each month. Im not sure why they need my car so much. Is that normal for exhaust development?

I am not sure about that, but I love my RPi scoops.

I still have to pick up the new scoops. Eloy accommodated and gave me scoops before there was even a design for the M3. |

I got the scoops, they gave me 7whp from 7k rpm above and 14wtq from 2500-3600rpm. Josh, maybe they just need to make sure their exhaust makes the kind of power that represents RPi and not the power that most of these other tuning companies are producing (which is none to actual power loss).

One sad thing about the internet is that a lot of people have no idea how to function without it.

We use the car for a lengthy period of time so we can test the products so that no "gain" was accidential. We want to make sure that the gains we see are truly from the mods/changes we did with the car. |

Nice, I will be ordering a pair of scoops. And I am very interested in your exhaust offering, particularly if there is a pipe that allows a delete of the pre-cats.

Its really not that beneficial other than telling someone you have a "titanium" exhaust. Aside from getting things overseas, working with the material is VERY expensive. All our products are made here in the states so the benefits vs. cost is really not there. For example our full exhaust system for the M5 weighs 59lbs compared to the stock 122lbs. |
