The whole cage design, install and paint takes about 5 weeks in total, we design our own cages for all our cars. We've done an article on the process for PBMW mag, I'll post that up when I'm allowed to if you like? (we have to wait until the mag is published before we put stuff on our own website you see).

The rear bootlid is a single skin race item, we use a similar design on the E46 CSL race cars. It uses aero catches to attach so not much good for a road car but weighs 600g so naff all. We will do a double skin road version that we'll eventually sell. Same applies for the bonnet, although the CF doors are not suitable for road cars.

If you look at the front lip you will see a recess (not easy to see in the shots), its here we bolt on a ply splitter that extends 160mm from the front of the bumper. Splitters tend to get damaged when you ride the kerbs so its a sacrificial item on race cars.
