Thoughts on first Mod

I'm not really big on modding cars, but ever since owning the M3 I've been itching to mod this pretty lady. Starting of slow, getting my feet wet and see where it takes me.

Macht Schnell stage2 intake charger kit
Challenge X-Pipe Sports (High Flow Catalysts) paired with stock exhaust
Evolve tune

What do you guys think? Obviously im not beating GTRs and C63 with these mods, but any increase in HP I'd take it.

SehrSchnell - Thanks for the input, I totally forgot to mention about Pulley.

Why do you want to keep the stock exhaust? it's heavy and ugly.

Not ready to spend a couple of grand in an exhaust unless it's necessary. Although it will be something I'd do in the future.

1) full after market exhaust
2) rims
3) lowering
4) lips

These are my holy grail of basic mods for every car I owned, in no particular order

You'll definitely gain more than 20whp

If you're considering the Evolve Stage 2 Tune, you should inquire about their X Pipe as well. They use some very free flowing cats that flow nearly as well as some catless X Pipes!

I may be going with the Evolve X-Pipe and Stage 2 tune in the near future, also with the OE muffler!!

Is Evolve's x-pipe listed anywhere online? As in pictures, info? Can't find on any of their sites.

It's described and listed in performance packages here http://evolveautomotive.com/e92-m3_6...-packages_955/

Wow those are some substantial gains. Do we have any local dealer in the US for Evolve?

Definitely going for the stage 2, like you I decided to stick with OE muffler.

You guys should contact either of the following forum sponsors and vendors.

imran@evolveautomotive.com
salman@evolveautomotive.com
kris@vsmotorsports.com
kenny@vsmotorsports.com

There are pics of the XPipe on their Facebook page. Unfortunately their website doesn't seem to be the most up to date. Forum member, kitw, did a review of the full Evolve ETronic exhaust. There are some pics of the XPipe there as well!

The Evolve XPipe utilizes two very free flowing 200CEL cats and two free flow resonators!

Oh my fault, I thought VS sells the EvolveR as well. If you contact Evolve directly, they'll set you up! :-)

1 and 4 is doable, I live in NYC our roads are unforgivable. Nice rims and lowered car = disaster
