I love the sound of my car so much I decided to make and share a little clip.

Disclaimer: this was done with an iPhone and the result is a bit underwhelming - at least on my laptop (crappy speakers and a broken aux jack means I can't even plug in my headphones )

Hopefully it sounds better on you guys' computers.

Car sounds amazing in person, IMHO. The tone of the Supersprint is very deep at low RPM and there is a lot of bass there. It's definitely the "deep" type and not the "screamer" type. Makes for some awesome city driving!

From ~3000rpm and up it pretty much sounds like stock although a notch louder. No drone on the freeway!

The clip consists of two parts. 1) exhaust, 2) intake

Exhaust:
_"Cold" start with auxiliary air pump activate - lasts about a minute until it quiets down
_Neutral rev -up to 5k
_Go -first pass, WOT into 2nd gear
_Go- regular drive by

The second part of the video is audio only.

The sound is recorded from the cabin as I drive around with the windows down in an attempt to capture the induction sound of the Macht Schnell Intake.

Again it doesn't sound like much on my crappy laptop but the sound in person is intoxicating!

So much that I said screw it to the new-car-smell and just drive around with the windows down

Hope y'all enjoy this crappy vid

Sounds fantastic. That is with slip on only? I imagine a catless x-pipe will give it more growl...if that is something you want of course.

Sounds great man!

Supersprint truly makes some of the best exhausts around! Pure auditory bliss.

Correct, this is only the rear section. I have some more pipes on the way

I just took my gintani race off for a Supersprint setup and it really does sound amazing w/ no drone at all. And it's pretty loud. Are you sure that's not a supersprint race? I thought the sport was the single bigger muffler but I see that SS also makes cans that could be the sport as well. Anyways I got mine used so it's hard to say, but again Supersprint does make some amazing exhausts

Nice sound clip, my question is does the stage 2 intake from ms makes the intake sound much louder? I just the filter on my car would like a louder intake sound so I am debating to get it or not.

It's easy to get confused as some people have mislabeled them online.

The Street is a single large canister like the OE muffler (#980706)

The Sport is the smaller/lighter dual can setup (#045106 and 045136) - What I have and probably what you have too

There is no Race model as of yet although Supersprint.com shows it to be "available soon" (#045176 and 045156)

See my original review here.

Now that I have put a few thousand miles on the setup I would say that it's very subtle driving "normally"/light on the throttle.

Drive aggressively/heavy on the throttle and you are rewarded with a nice growl. I love it that way. It's classy could pass as stock to someone not familiar with the sound of the car.

Nice to see SS setups out there, great sounding exhaust.

Let's get your M3 on the dyno soon!

For supersprint, the Sport is 'RACE'. They changed their naming a few years ago.

that would make sense when looking at the mufflers and it is def not quiet at all. It really is the best sounding system I have had thus far (and I've swapped mufflers at least 4-5x). Nice and loud and no drone or intrusive cabin noise.

Yea, nothing on this car sounds bad. Just depends on the little nuaces each has different over the other.
Be careful if you ever do an x pipe though...because it will be LOUD. My catless x pipe with 2 resonators and a more mild axel back exhaust is still VERY loud.

Saw your car on the 5 heading South last week as I was starting my road bike ride from Mission Bay. Your car looks awesome with the Volks. Didn't get to hear the car from where I was but it sounds great in the clips.

I might have to hit you up for some work in future.

I'm very curious as to what the car will sound like when I add an x-pipe or do some test pipes later on.

As it is, it sounds understated, nice and muscular but the cold start is already pretty outrageous when in a garage. I'll probably have to do some sort of tune just to turn off cold start/aux air pump
